December

The second and third week of this month was a little bit difficult due to Daddy's trip to Europe. We stayed at Grandma's home for the whole time. This was a good idea because the 3 were exposed to Spanish more. It is clear now that they understand English, Spanish and Italian very well. Daddy speaks and reads to them in Italian only and Mommy in Spanish and English. They watch TV in English and sometimes in Spanish. While being at Grandma's Mono (one of the Clones)suffered and accident. Well, it as not exactly an accident since Vivi was the one who threw it on the flame. One of its feet got burned and Vivi or Vero refused the poor Mono and Mommy had to fix its foot. We then gave it a new name "Chocotoe". By the end of this two weeks Vivi turn very aggressive and kept asking for Daddy. We believed that she was missing him. Thankfully Daddy came back for XMAS and brought presents and chocolate ornaments from zia nonna (Teresa). This ornaments were Leo's delirious. He kept visiting the XMAS tree til the last day of the year. The 3 got lost of presents from uncles and aunts. This year they got to open their presents by themselves. Vivi love it that she kept opening other people's presents. This year was also their first time exposed to the snow. They love it!! They didn't like what they had to wear the first time but it only took minutes outside to understand it. Vero, Vivi and Leo specially Vivi) started repeating everything they hear and love to point things by their names.

2009-12 December

November

A month full of leaves and celebration. Tripones first Thanksgiving at home. We have no problem when it comes about food since they all eat almost everything. So they eat a little bit of something at the Thanksgiving dinner. They are a little more independent at the play ground and that makes it easy for Mommy and Daddy. Sorry for not writing much on this month but this is what happens when you have many things in your mind and don't write as soon as the month is over.

2009-11 November

October

Things are getting easier now. They are eating on their own and started to drink out of the glass without using straws. They are able to eat using spoons and forks. They play together very well. They love to run after each other. There are lots of screams, laughs and Vero is calling Vivi by her name. They still fight for the same toys. They mimic everything they see and are starting to show some signs for potty training. They are understanding a lot when we asked them to bring or do something. Vivi is the only one who is eating very well except for yogurt, she doesn't like it. Vero is not eating as well as she did before and Leo is really bad. He will only eats what he likes and is usually the fruit.

September

This month was full of exitement. We went to Europe to visit family and friends.

July

Every day is a new day at our house and July was full of suprises for Mommy and Daddy. Vero, Vivi and Leo are understanding more what Mommy and Daddy are saying. They listen and obey when are told to take something from one place to another. Vivi obeys more like picking up her books from the floor and bringing things. She is also trying to dress up on her own and recognizes colors. She knows what color her bottle is and she would not take another one but hers. They are brushing their teeth already and using the spoon for eating soups, yogourt and ice cream. Vero is having more tantrums but do to their understanting Mommy and Daddy have to be more strict on this matter. Vivi stop wanting the other's toys but Leo and Vero started this behavior.

2009-7-01 July

June

This month has been crazy for Mommy and Daddy. The 3 love to climb everywhere they see posible. They don't stop touching everything and going everywhere they can. They play together all the time. They all love dogs for sure (Vero more), since they don't leave Boots (Elena's dog) alone when they see her. They all baby talk; Vero says "agua", "caca" and "up". Vivi says "up", "agua", sings with tia Francis "Happy Birthday" and "Apples and Bananas". Leo is the one who doesn't say that much but he loves to turn off the TV when Mommy or Daddy are watching it. He is also the most curious one out of the 3. Instead Vivi is our sexy girl; she loves to read books and always comes out with sexy poses. Vero is more relax and loves stack the blocks and play with the letters in the bathtub and not to forget that as soon as she hears music she starts dancing.

2009-06-01 June

May

May 1-31: Ever since they discovered the back yard, there is no other place where they want to be. The first thing they do in the morning is to go to the back door. The problem is that Mommy can't not have them outside if she is alone. Now that they are walking it is very difficult to control them where there is no barriers. We usually enjoy the yard when Daddy is home and of course on the weekends if the weather permits. We are very happy that they like to play together most of the time, and if they fight it is usually for toys. Except Vivi that she doesn't like Mommy to get close to Daddy. If this happens she grabs Mommy from the hair and then she hugs and kisses him. She is very possesive when it comes about her Daddy. They all give kisses if we ask them to but Leo prefers Aunt Svitlana. They started to listen and understand when Mommy calls them to come to her. Vivi is doing a lot of baby talking and she points when she wants something. They all eat everything and they usually don't have that many snacks in between meals. It is probably because after their meal they always have fruit and sometimes 1-2 cookies. We can't complaint, they eat super well.

Tripones' First Steps.......

April 13-30: This last two weeks of April were big for all of us. Vero, Vivi and Leo learned and developed many things that made Mommy and Daddy's tasks much easier. They finally learned to hold their bottles. They also learned to drink with straw and the most important of all; they learned to walk. Vivi was the first one (April 20) and was followed by Leo exactly a week later (April 27) and Vero did it also a week later from Leo (May 4th). This makes things more fun for them but harder for Mommy that spends her entire day running after them.

April's Fun

April 1-12: Our last 2 weeks without Daddy were not so bad due that uncle Junior came to stay with us for some days and later Vicky, Pablo and aunt Francis decided to spend their Spring Vacation with us. We had a lot of fun preparing the Easter Egg Hunt and Daddy's arrival. Unfortunately Leo got the flu and wasn't able to enjoy the egg hunt with the rest of the kids. Vero, Vivi and Leo are doing very well moving around the house using the walkers, walls and furnitures. Vivi and Leo are almost walking on their own. They play together and sometimes fight for the same toys. They are right now taking two naps at day (11:30 AM and 4:30 PM).

March's Celebrations

March 1-31: This month was full of celebrations, restaurants, visits, and two sad stories. We first started with Vero's, Vivi's and Leo's FIRST birthday. We took them out for lunch, visited Pamco, went to the Children's Museum and finalise the day having dinner at Grandma's house with cup cakes as dessert. The weekend Daddy leaft to CERN we visited the Montessori Day Care where Vero, Vivi and Leo had lot's of fun playing with the toys. We also went to Pablo's birthday for more fun. Then it came the first week without Daddy and we had the pleasure to have aunt Svitlana with us for a couple of days. We went to eat, to the mall and have some ice cream with her. That weekend Leo ate a lady bug that we saw the night before in the bathroom and Mommy didn't want to kill her but for the luck of the lady bug her final destiny was Leo's teeth. The second week without Daddy we visited aunt Janet, Kenneth, Karlie and Uncle Mike. We went to the park with them. Vivi and Leo love the swings but Vero got scared, perhaps the people that were next to the swings were making lots of noise and she didn't like or she just didn't like the swings. Leo started moving around using the furnitures and Vivi is doing a lot of baby talking, while Vero loves to get inside the baskets and toy boxes. They are eating normal meals and they rather stay away from the soups. They love fish, meat and rice. Vivi and Leo are not into the vegetables but Mommy keep persisting.
